How do you know there is not more than one, are maybe you are worshipping different faces of the same supernatural being who is having a laugh?
If your god is the true one, why does he allow other gods to be worshipped?
Theres a whole essay of why this happens.
I can post it if you want however I must warn you that is a little extensive and long to read.

I didn't posted the essay conclusions since it's just a poor statement of: we are all children of god and bla bla bla and we should all pray united instead of divided. And respect all beliefs no matter how stupid may sound.

A very interesting essay. I managed to find it on the internet (you forgot to provide a link) because I wanted to read the conclusions. My interpretation is different to yours.

Essay's Conclusions

Quote:I hope this helped to illustrate that there is no magic reason that anyone's belief system is right or wrong. It is, at best, a
personal decision as to what criteria you use to find your spiritual path through life.

Most importantly, there is no way that you can make a logical case that your belief system is "more right" than anybody else's.

Additionally, without the ability to prove that any one experience is correct, it also opens up the possibility that NONE of
them are correct, and a belief in no religion at all (Atheism) may be equally likely.

This includes his own religion which is revealed by the way he signs off - Blessed Be. He's a Neo Pagan - an umbrella term for modern religions which are reconstructions of old pagan belief systems. He covers this in -

Quote:4) My Religion is New, but it is based on Ancient Knowledge, so it must be Right!

I have to admit that is my favorite one, as it gives you the best of both worlds. This is a common one with many of the New Age religions. Many of the "New Old" religions are only about 50 years old, but claim ancestry going back hundreds or thousands of years.

Ancient wisdom combined with modern insight - what could be better?

Unfortunately, if being Old doesn't make it Right, and being New doesn't make it right, being Old and New doesn't make it right either.

Finally -

Quote:It also leaves the possibility that none of them are COMPLETELY correct, that different religions have different aspects that may be correct, and no single religion has it all right.

There is also the theoretical possibility that ALL religions could be right, except for the fact that some religions state that ONLY their religion is correct, which would thereby make it impossible for all of them to be right according to their own doctrines.

Therefore, please treat everyone with respect and courtesy when discussing your beliefs or theirs. If you try to find the core principles that guide most religions, you will find that they all share many similarities, and there is room in the world for all of them.

This is aimed at people who follow religions. A spiritual path is a personal choice so people who follow one religion shouldn't regard people who follow other religions as lost souls who are going to burn in hell or whatever. Everyone would benefit from looking at the similarities between their religions instead of focussing on their differences.

And what about atheists? We shouldn't be condemned by religious people because our lack of belief in deities could be the correct world view.

One question do you have the date of writing of that article because the conclusions are different from the ones I read. I want to know if it's before or after the one I have. Mine said it was written Feb 25, 2014.

As far as I can see it's dated 2004. Can you post a link to the article you read?

I cannot remember the atheist writer who wrote it (I think it was Dawkins, perhaps one of the other Horsemen), but here it is: once you understand why you don't believe in Zeus, you'll understand why I don't believe in Yahweh.

The answer to this question was answered when the bible was written. Jesus died for all mankind. He's calling all of us and we all have the opportunity to come to him. I don't understand why nobody answered the question.

"Whosoever believeth in me, he shall have eternal life." ---- doesn't appear to apply to atheists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. We don't believe.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
