What, asking for clarification? Thinking before I speak?

Yes, I can see where those would be strange concepts to you. Now, you gonna answer the question, or just be a dick? Dodgy

No, ignorance and poverty. Unhappiness and unrighteousness.

Don't blame your inability to clearly express your question on me. Since you haven't defined righteousness, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it's not going to be the common usage and will instead contain some reference to god, I'm not going to play your little game until you've laid out your terms.

Your unwillingness to be honest about the framing of your own discussion has been noted, however. Dodgy

Yo, knowledge of god, can you define 'righteousness' for me please, I don't know what it means and so am unable to participate in this discussion or answer your question until I do.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

According to this site righteousness can only be achieved through faith in jesus christ as saviour.

If that's the case I think we might as well substitute the word righteousness for gullible.

What do you mean by righteousness kog?

Lot was considered a righteous man and he knocked up both of his daughters. Maybe the word "righteous" means something like "scumbag".

That is a bit how God seperates mankind in his mind. The righteouss and the unrighteouss.

Let's say you say you are atheist, and you value righteousness very much. You even love it and are righteouss yourself, then why would you deny the existence of your master?

Claiming to know not only what, but how God thinks is the most blasphemous thing I've ever seen on this site.

Out of my righteousness, of course. Remind -your master- that I do not recognize human beings as property.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Quote:"It is pity that good works, among some sorts of people, are so little valued, and good words admired in their stead. I mean seemingly pious discourses, instead of humane, benevolent actions. These they almost put out of countenance by calling morality, rotten morality; righteousness, ragged righteousness, and even filthy rags, and when you mention virtue, pucker up their noses; at the same time that they eagerly snuff up an empty, canting harangue, as if it were a posy of the choicest flowers"

So, ask a poorly and unclearly phrased question, tell everyone they're useless when they ask for clarification, assume everyone is struggling with "unhappiness and poverty" because they're not you, and plow your way past challenging questions.

That about it?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
