Why should a few people get to pick and choose what face coverings are and are not permitted for everyone else? Is there hard data to support that this is in everyone's best interest?
They didn't. They banned all face coverings. Whether or not it's right....I'm still deciding. I'd like to see more debate. But whether or not I like it is easy, yes. I won't say I think all face coverings should be banned in public, but I would say that if they are I will feel safer.

No face covering that stop the possibility of identifying individually someone should be allowed. That goes for everything. I could simply wear one of those outfits and commit a crime, then I'd claim it was committed by my Islam female neighbor. What evidence would there be that it was me? Probably none or few at most if I covered my whole body with that outfit.

No, I think the hijab is allowed since it shows the person's face. Everything that doesn't allow ID is not allowed I guess.

You're relatively new so I don't have the expectation that you can readily discern when certain personalities here are being serious or making off the cuff remarks. I also understand that English is not your native language.
Although I consider this, your reply above and recent response to my retroactive abortion quip suggest that you take things quite literally.

I understood your sarcasm, my response asking for a method to retroactive abortion was a sarcastic answer, I was aware of it.

Well motorbike helmets are necesarry to prevent brains smeared across highways so that's understandable

So I take it one must be on or next to a bike, otherwise a motorbike helmet is treated equivalent to a ski mask or niqab?
