So, could heaven be the opposite of eternal torment?
Angels flitting about and poking the inmates with orgasm sticks ??
Hard to miss loved ones that are burning in Hell if one is creaming ones jeans continuously . .

There is, just ask Satan. He got fed up and told god to blow him.

Yeah, it seems like there is free will. And you can get kicked out. Which means people like me, who could only pay lip service at best, probably wouldn't last too long up there before getting kicked out too.

When everyone's 'heavens' come together, you get the perfect hell.
Its pretty much why the machines from the Matrix, despite their sincerest efforts, couldn't get either a perfect paradise or a perfect nightmare simulation to work for us.
Everyone has their own unique idea of these concepts. No one could ever accept another's unique concept, it was incompatible with their own core ideals of heaven/hell, let alone simultaneously accepting everyone's beliefs at the same time, and thus the system crashed.
This is why "heaven" doesn't exist. Its a personal fantasy within theologian teachings.
Even Christians who bother to read their old bib-lay accept this as not a paradise, but simply their deities' dwelling place. The monster's throne.
Why would any sane person desire to live in someone else's house?
Would you ever feel at home with a tyrant? Let alone an all-powerful completely self-righteous immoral tyrant who will abuse/kick you out without a moment's warning? I sincerely doubt it.

Of course you will still be you.
The essence of you is not the body you live in. So, in other words, you have no idea who you are. Wait, does my "real" self float behind my physical body attached to a silver chord?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_cord
"Remember him—before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, or the wheel broken at the well, and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it." - Ecclesiastes 12:6-7
Is that it, professor?
Quote:Here's the difference- until the Resurrection, in Heaven, you live in a spirit body, you look like you are in your 20s (unless you are younger than that when you leave here).
You know this HOW?!?!

I gotta get going to work, but I would like to say a bit how a portion of Heaven is coming here.
The 6 days of creation are a shadow and type of 6000 years, of which we are at the end.
The Rest is next- the RESToration of all things.
Current status:
The beast with two horns (like a lamb) and speaks like a dragon (devil) is seated on his throne.
Having been elected last year- is now in place.
The other beast of Revelation is in place, having been chosen 2 times to the highest political position on earth.
They are called "Beasts" because they are contrary and opposed to the "Lamb of God".
When crunch time comes, I have high hopes for you guys.

What a magnificent allegory.
Wish you luck at work.

Wow, prof, you certainly know a lot about this heaven stuff! Where are you getting all your information? Can I get it too?
If this part:

is any indication of your source's credibility, can I just point out that lambs are not known for having horns?

It's Obama, isn't it? I don't usually speak Riddle, but I'm just betting it's Obama.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
