Israel won the war against them in 1948,

And the Jews are in Israel because they don not have the doctrine that any land owned by Israel is forever to be owned by them and they are obligated to Zionist war until it is returned.

Oh, btw, the Romans kicked Israeli asses infinitely more thoroughly than the Israelis ever whipped the Arab forces.

Islam was allied with the losing side of WW2.
The land of Israel was a waste- most of it.

Because of the atrocities done to the Jews by Germany (allied with Turkey and other Islamics), it was decided to give the Jews a homeland.
"Palestine" (a derogatory name given to that area by the Romans to spite the Jews) was the home mostly of Bedouins, some Jews,and the rest mostly Jordanians.

There never was any such thing as Palestinians.
Yassir Arafat actually said so, that name was concocted as a political tool.

After WW2, the land there was divided and parts were given to the Arabs and the Jews.
This was too much for the Muslims!
Who planned to annihilate them.
Didn't happen.
They attacked the Jews and the Jews miraculously won.
Israel occupies six tenths of ONE PERCENT of the land area Islam occupies and this sliver is too much for Islam.

Islam lost every war with them and there are 2 more to go.

I thought the USA-Israel link was to do with the Jews (namely the fact that there are so many powerful and influential Jewish people in America), and not so much Christianity.

That is a pretty fuzzy history lesson. The Ottoman Empire was allied with Germany during the Great War. Turkey was largely a neutral non-combatant in World War II ( I believe they sold Germany some chromite early on and declared for the Allies later.)

The Greeks, whom pre date the Romans, wrote of a place called Palestine. Ancient Egyptians (even earlier than Greeks) used hieroglyphics to describe the people living in this region.

Yasser Arafat must not have read much Aristotle or Herodotus, both of whom, refer to Palestine. Could it be he was on stage in the theatre of politics when he made this statement?

By this logic, there is no such thing as Puerto Rican people. They are just Americans, non-native Spaniards, mestizos or Taino; as they have never been independent. Ever been to the PR pride parade in Chicago or New York? Palestinians are the descendants of all of those peoples you mentioned and they are not all Muslim either (Christians, Druze, maybe even some crazy Jews that identify on some level). I am not sure how Jordanians got in there, as Jordan is a product of the division you referenced.

I don't want to make excuses for religious zealots, but can we agree the Bible and Newt Gingrich are not good sources for historical facts. Yes, I saw that presidential primary debate too; wherein he claimed "There is no such thing as a Palestinian people."

There's nothing miraculous about tanks and assault rifles. There's another missed opportunity for their god, I'd say, but nvm that.

It's true, the winners do generally call the shots after a war, but that doesn't mean that the shots they call are good ones. In this case, you seem to be appealing to the idea that the people in the area didn't have a flag - a venerable tool in the kit, granted. Nothing makes a disconnected mass of people get together like common adversary claiming their land, apparently, on the basis of them not being there - officially.....what with not having a flag and all.
