For the record, I voted yes because I imagined myself to be a Christian and thought 'What would my answer be?'

Thank you all for your input! Perhaps I should request this question on a Christian forum?
This subject has really bothered me for a very long time. Probably since I was religious and know that the term anti christ and damnation are pretty much the most terrible terms used against a person. So that is probably why it bothers me when believers insinuate that I am going to a terrible place that doesn't exist. It's rather peculiar.
It took some time to come to terms with morality vs scientific irresponsibility regarding certain subjects such as smoking, masterbation, fornication, drinking, and some fucking BOMB ASS hardcore music!!

If he's the evil God of the Bible, Koran, etc. then yes. If there is a God out there somewhere and he doesn't reveal himself to anyone in any remotely provable way, and you don't believe in "him", then how can he possibly send you to hell? If you are in a religion, odds are practically zero that you're in the right religion, and you're going to another religion's/God's hell. That's just my 2nd grade philosophy for you though.

If there is such a place and a God who seeks compliance, we'll be found deficient. So yep, bad place here we come. Same goes for most every other disincentive place offered by the other religions. On the other hand, if God were a cooler dude we'd get front row seats in the happy place.
It may also be the case that heaven and hell are esoteric and allegorical, in which case whatever benefit or penalty will be felt during life and paid in full before dying.
If God were as cruel, humorless and authoritarian as the worst sort of theists are fond of describing, the only acceptable stance would be noncompliance. What constitutes heaven and hell is largely up to us.

If there is a hell, at least we can take comfort in our ability to adapt to our surroundings. Given eternity, I'd say we'll figure out a way to turn shit around.

It is possible that Hell will be your final destination but if so it won't be because you have become an atheist. You were already a sinner who deserved hell even when you were involved in religion. I don't know anything about you personally but I know this is true because it is true of everyone. God is holy and can't tolerate sin; all of us have sinned. Unless our sins are atoned for in some way we all will be condemned to Hell.
Jesus Christ died to atone for our sins; anyone who repents and believes in him will be forgiven. Anyone who fails to do this will be punished for his sins. It won't make any difference whether he is an atheist or the adherent of some religion. There are even people who profess to be Christian but are still unforgiven because they haven't really repented.
His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

It seems that your god must be omni-intolerant of sin as well as omni-powerful. Must be confusing as hell being omni-everything.
