I just finished reading a book I heard about from a post on here:
Secret Ceremonies by Deborah Laake.
It's her personal story of being brought up Mormon and her experience of being in a Mormon marriage. I didn't realise how backward and chauvinistic this cult actually is. She is out of it now but it messed her up for a long time. Not so much what any one person did to her but the layers of indoctrination that amounted to brainwashing.
I am going to give this to my daughters to read.
Her last sentence at the end of the book is: "I can feel the lie"

It's not immoral to eat meat, abort a fetus or love someone of the same sex...I think that about covers it
