When people make the statement that they are "saved", what they are actually saying is that THEY have decided that they are going to Heaven. In other words, they are making the statement that they are above God and don't need Him to get into Heaven. To atheists this means nothing but to "Christians", this way of thinking is blasphemy - the WORST offense that a Christian can make. [emphasis is mine]
I thought the worst thing was blaspheming the Holey Casper.

It is supposed to be the one unforgivable "sin".
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

It's even named as such in the buy-bull. Guess I'll be listening to the greats of Rock'n'Roll while the pious get to listen to off key hymns. Hmmmmmm. Not seeing a down side here.

Fear maybe, but to "hate". To have an active passionate dislike for it? Hmm... as i write I think fear and hate maybe the same thing in several cases. Or at least be the same resulting outcome.

I don't. I don't give a flying fuck about theists. All I ask is that they keep their superstitions in their homes and churches and out of our schools and laws.
Not so much to ask but the fuckers can't do it.

Because all theists are Christians...
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Yes us human or most of us n4eed something to believe in, we are inquisitive creatures, and because of our so called higher intelligence, we ask the most deep questions. I think if your a so called atheist, then you would have also some deep feelings about the universe, but like religion people try to find the answers out there in science, religious people try to find what's out there in their beliefs about God, which in most cases is a search within. To give up all mysterious feelings about the world, is to live a dead life, a clinical life. But to realize that there is much that we can never know is to live a life in mystery.
Its like love, what is it ?, most people cannot really say what it is, it needs to be experienced and lived, then you have those who reduce it to nothing but a biological reaction, how sad is that.

I was actually agreeing with a lot of what you were saying there, but then you dropped the ball with "so called atheist". What was that in aid of? That actually hurt your case.
Then you went on to equate the, admittedly spiritual but ultimately barren in terms of real objective truth, philosophising of religion with the self-correcting inquiries of science. One of those two actually produces tangible, verifiable results, while the other propagates by killing all lines of investigation. I'll leave you to work out which is which.

I don't think calling love a biological reaction reduces it or makes it sad. I think knowing that it is technically nothing more than a biological reaction makes it all the more beautiful and mysterious and amazing. Can you imagine? A chemical reaction that creates emotions and thoughts and feelings so powerful in our minds (a place that technically doesn't even exist), what could be more awesome than that?
