From the news reports I've seen it was legal. It was in some kind of recreational place called "Bullets & Burgers" where entire families can go and shoot some guns while having a meal.

Again, this fucking culture is nuts. This is not normal. This is absolutely bizarre.

It was displaced after a flood, we had all kinds of stuff coming out of the woods. There is no "animal control" in my area & if there was it'd be 20 minutes away. Dogs & small children play in that yard.

For the record, I do not think that letting a 9 year old shoot automatic weapons should be legal anywhere. I was much more focused on the Japanese style gun laws comment.

Anyhow I'm done here, no chance to have a reasoned discussion on gun control with someone whose local culture is obviously so completely different than mine.

As I said in multiple threads in multiple websites, this is a result of long term monopolies by the NRA and manufactures selling fear of sane people, and selling to the gun nuts that nothing can ever go wrong.

I do not hold that girl or the trainer responsible. I hold the industry responsible. They do not give one fuck how many they pump out or where they end up. This is not legal vs illegal, this is about an industry that does not care about how they make money.

A 9 year old girl is allowed to go to a gun range, eat some burgers and shoot an automatic weapon as though it's perfectly normal, shoots a guy in the head, and she has to live with this for the rest of her life. And the response from you is "Alcohol causes deaths, should we ban alcohol too"? Are you fucking serious? You have the nerve to say you 'expect better from me'?

Peanut butter can kill, should we ban fucking peanut butter too? This is just bullshit smokescreen from pro-gun nutjobs to try and rationalise how dangerous guns are. Yes. People die from cars.
