Does not the fictional piece of work also declare that man knows not when Jesus' second coming will occur? Therefore, you are full of shit.

From the quote - "the day no man knows" will be the 25th of September, 2014. +/- one day naturally. No man 'cepting for The Prof.

This is good stuff.

You're doing the religion thing all wrong.

You're meant to make vague untestable statements, not things that can actually be shown to be false.

The world never ends - it does get new management.

My simple prediction...

Humans will destroy themselves. The Earth will regenerate itself as it has in the past.

Let us hope that if there is new management that it will little resemble our kind.

I agree with this prophesy. I doubt we will actually completely destroy the planet, as even nuclear bombs don't make places completely uninhabitable, but it's possible we may wipe ourselves out.

As for executive orders, Obama has made fewer than any president in the history of the USA. If you're going to call doomsday every time someone offers to change things in an attempt to fix a broken country, then you have your priorities backwards.

I didn't bother reading the rest of the post after the executive orders bit. People hve been predicting the end times ever since Jesus predicted the end within the lifetimes of the people in front of him. It's an old song and dance.

Give or take 24 hours. Heh.

The founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses was forecasting the end of the world before he even founded the sect, and being wrong didn't even slow him down. After he died in 1916 (two years after yet another of his end-of-world dates came and went) the next president of the Watchtower Society picked up the baton and ran with it, predicting the end of the world in 1918, 1920, and 1925 before dwindling membership numbers indicated that being wrong all the fucking time was bad for business. Still, they continued to indicate that the end was near in the 1940s and mid-1950s, before famously targeting the autumn of 1975 as the big date. They've taken a subtler approach the last 40 or so years, but they continue to warn the membership that the end is right around the corner.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

My grandmother would fit right in with these people. I've never been worried about the rapture, despite growing up christian. Though I never worried about hell either because I was a good boy and only bad people go to hell. A simplistic view that is common with young children.

What's most amusing is that 9/25 is MY birthday.... what a tremendous present it would be to have a world suddenly devoid of complete shitheads! Alas...it will not happen.

We should have a Mod pin this thread just so Shitferbrains can have it shoved up his ass....for eternity.

You moron, you are supposed to set the date far enough in the future so you have time to bilk your idiot followers.

That's how you know the prof is delusional, instead of dishonest. seting a date this very month.

Min, that would be a grand birthday gift for many of us. At least take the fundies/extremists away. That would be great.
