Just occurred to me to ask......is this your first doomsday prediction? I mean, have you ever thought you pinned down a date before and it came and went?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Never looked for a date for doomsday since such a day will never come. I never gave a date, but I did think it was going to happen based on some (false) prophecy from, I think it was a Korean group, in '92. When nothing happened, I knew I had at least 7 years to go, so I built a 350 chevy powered VW and went drag racing. (on a side note- at the track one evening, I happened to get paired off to a guy with a gorgeous emerald green Mustang, with Roll bar, slicks, mags, the whole shebang, I think it had a blower too . When the lights came down, I treeded him and rocketed away, went to get ahold of him back in the pits to tell the guy that he really got clobbered by a supercharged 350 and not a lowly bug. Couldn't find the fellow. I think he was so nonplussed that he went right out the gate and left.) 2000 passed by, various "Watch times" went. High watch last year at Rosh, similar watch just after Passover this year. So I have been "Rapture Centric" for a long time. The big difference between now and times past, is the sheer number of converging indicators- especially the presence of the AC.

So, let me make sure I;ve got this right, despite having never given a date, you've been primed for the event and the time came and went many times before. Is there a point at which you might start to wonder whether the event will occur at all? I mean, I'm a hunter. Say I see a trail through the bush near a forage I established and think to myself "surely a deer is going to come down this edge eventually". Seems reasonable, eh? How many nights do you think I'll spend in my stand to ambush the little bastard before I begin to wonder whether I misread the situation entirely? Before I wonder whether there have -ever- been any deer on that trail...or whether I will ever see one there? How many nights would you spend waiting (and how many ways would you explain why you were wrong about the night, but right about the deer...in the face of of such consistent failure)? (Scratch, don't forget Scratch)
