Seeking female atheist writer/speaker for YouTube collaboration
September 22, 2014 at 2:50 am
(This post was last modified: September 22, 2014 at 2:54 am by GreatBigBore.)
I make YouTube videos on Christianity. It has come to my attention recently that my audience is primarily male. Thinking maybe I could make my message more appealing to women if I could find a woman to collaborate with. This is for YouTube vids, so there's no money in it. Anyone have any thoughts on where to look for women who might be up for a joint effort? Maybe here? Maybe not? All ideas welcome.

I think I'm subscribed to you... but I don't really pay much attention to YouTube anymore. I would love to do videos and such though. What are your ideas?

Thanks for responding. I'm flattered to hear that you might be subscribed.
I have a series in progress right now that is a critical analysis of Jesus. I think it's an important message, so I'd like to work a bit at making it appeal to the widest possible audience. At the very least, my idea is to rewrite the series with input from someone who is more female and less generally misanthropic than I am. I've also thought that a departure from my current presentation format might help too. If you're subscribed then you've seen how I present the material. Maybe a pleasant face would help. Feel free to have a look at the series <SNIP> and let me know if you have ideas on making it more widely appealing, especially to women but also generally to people who like friendlier packaging.
Probably easiest to email me directly, <SNIP>

Careful carox, I've seen lots of news reports where a 'producer' is advertising a seeming legit part, and it winds up being a casting couch call...

A valid point. Zeus knows I've taken measures more desperate than that under the influence of the biological imperative. All I can offer as a sign of my legitimacy and sincerity is my YouTube channel. As of today I have published 363 videos, most of them analyzing the bible and various debates between religious superstitionists and asuperstitionists.
As I said in my response to rexbeccarox, I believe I have an important message and hope to find a way to reach a wider audience.

I can't tell whether you're addressing me or another poster. If you require clarification on my posts, please indicate some details as to your confusion so I will know how to address you. If you find my post illegitimate in some way, please do let me know. It is not clear to me whether it's appropriate to post such a question here; I am hoping that someone will have some ideas on a more appropriate and effective forum for such questions.

Yes, I'm aware. I was more wondering why Drich would imply this is what's going on here.

It's discreetly, by the way. Discrete means separate or distinct. Sorry, in addition to being a YouTube nag, I'm a grammar nazi.

Drich, I've been subscribed to this guy for a long time. Thanks for your concern, though.
GBB, Drich's grammar is notoriously awful. I've started to ignore it for self-preservation.
