No...no..not just heat Magi, Florida heat. 87degrees in the dead of winter, 90 at night, 99% humidity, 100 in the day 99% humidity. Neverending, relentless, always wet - rot the skin off your body while you bake....heat.

So my dad told me that I should probably just sell what I can and throw the scooters onto a cargo trailer after installing a hitch on my 2012 Honda Civic. I thought this might be okay until I read that the car is only rated at 1,000lbs and that exceeding that will void my warranty. I also took a look at some forums on civics and most people are saying that it's simply a bad idea for long distance... which puts me back at square 1 unfortunately.
It looks like I might need to sell our bikes and buy new ones later, idk

Get a uhaul, and get the wheel dolly for the uhaul. That way you can take your stuff without putting the miles on your car. It'll end up being cheaper than the loss and then repurchase of your toys, or the wear on your civic.
(uhaul; is sometimes a dick about 1 way state to states, try penske if they give you shit - but generally if you're moving -out- of florida it;s easier...everybody wants their equipment to leave florida, it's a dead end)

Try Budget for one-way rental as well - they came in much cheaper than U-Haul for my recent move. Don't know that it's still available but there was a 20% off coupon code.

Feed it to the dog...that way the two of them take up less space as a unit and they both get to come along?

When I moved from San Diego to Nashville, I did a Penske 1 way rental. $500 for a 16' van and a dolly for the car. It was the longest, slowest road trip of my life, but once over, I still had my shit, and I didn't have to spend money on all the little furniture items you take for granted until you have to buy them again...
