Having said that, you learn in literature class the difference between something as a metaphor or to take something literal. Sadly alot of people do not understand this, which then leads to some bad things. IT is still all bunk, but gotta know how to read bunk.

The Christianity section is where the bears are put for baiting. A warm up room if you will.

"Catholicism is a shitty religion to convert to."
So much negativity . . . I would've asked what for, but seeing as this is an atheist forum I'll stay in my limits and promptly take it.
As I said read my earlier post in the ex hindu thread (the one about fruits of the spirit) and perhaps you'll get an idea as to why I chose it

Yeah, we're quite negative about Nazis and the KKK too.
Go figure.

That is a post-facto justification. Those are your views after you've chosen Catholic beliefs. We still have no idea why you chose it in the first place.

Putting aside everything Catholicism teaches, it's a shitty religion because it is the largest organised crime group in the world. You know, all that moving around of pedo priests. Anyone who supports the catholic church is, inadvertently or not, funding and condoning organised crime. I don't know how anyone can rationalise staying with them besides sticking their heads in the sand and just plain denying it.

I welcomed you as well.
And yeah. You are converting to a religion that claims to have a leader whom is directly talking to god, yet these leaders have a track record of over a thousand years of basically getting everything wrong.
If thats not shitty I don't know what is.
