And every observatory will see and measure the SAME THING.
Then we note there are 40,000 (really!!!!) denominations of Christianity. Is it because God speaks with 40,000 voices and each has been heard and duly noted, or is it more likely that at least 40,000 asswipes are fucking with everybody else ???
Oh, just-because-the-observatory-says-so-its-true fallacy. How do go from explaining an expanding universe to showing proof of the big bang? An expanding stomach is not a sign of overeating - there may be various reasons - from a disease to just a temporary condition.
And your 40,000 denominations is an out of topic subject, not to mention its a make-believe assumption.
Try again!

That's circular reasoning! The big bang occurred because that link says so. Personal proof please. Demonstration of big bang will be sufficient, or photos from the time the big bang occurred.
Ok you bring me personal proof that a god did it, with demonstrations that things can be spoken into existence, and I'll believe it. You know very well that that's not what I meant by personal research. Don't start doing the "you weren't there" argument that you seem to be going for, because it doesn't help either of our cases.
Science is verified by many researchers that all use data to come to the same conclusion, instead of branching off into thousands of different conclusions like religion does, and when new information comes along scientists will accept it and change their views instead of killing the dissenter.

Quote:The Bible is filled with discrepancies, many of them irreconcilable
contradictions. Moses did not write the Pentateuch (the
fi rst five books of the Old Testament) and Matthew, Mark, Luke,
and John did not write the Gospels. There are other books that did
not make it into the Bible that at one time or another were considered
canonical—other Gospels, for example, allegedly written by
Jesus’ followers Peter, Thomas, and Mary. The Exodus probably did
not happen as described in the Old Testament. The conquest of the
Promised Land is probably based on legend. The Gospels are at odds
on numerous points and contain nonhistorical material. It is hard
to know whether Moses ever existed and what, exactly, the historical
Jesus taught. The historical narratives of the Old Testament are
filled with legendary fabrications and the book of Acts in the New
Testament contains historically unreliable information about the
life and teachings of Paul. Many of the books of the New Testament
are pseudonymous—written not by the apostles but by later writers
claiming to be apostles. The list goes on.

Don't ask me for proof. Its passing on the burden of proof, as you people use as a method to sneak out of debates.
Again, you using circular reasoning. Just because the researchers said so it must be true. How is that any different from what we say?

Show me the Bible is true---the big bang has nothing to do with it other than to demonstrate Genesis is wrong.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Consider yourself asked.
P.S. Your bible isn't proof. It is merely a claim...and a poorly written one at that.

Ah! I cannot give evidence of my claims, so push the burden on someone else...

We will ask you for proof for any claim you wish to convey.
We believe the researcher not because he said it, but because he did either an experiment or observation to leads to his conclusion. In short, he used the scientific method to establish something.

Now prove that the Bible is just a claim.

You don't have evidence that can be verified like scientists can. I don't have to prove the big bang happened, because I don't really care if anyone believes it or not. No one is going to reward or punish people according to their belief in the big bang. I'm not even sure why christians seem to be fixated on it, because even if we all agreed the universe needed a god to create it, you are no closer to proving yours exists. You want me to believe a god created the universe? Fine. I'm a deist. Now what?
