Still haven't answered the question, raging Brian. When EXACTLY does a human become a 'person'? Where is the line of demarcation when ending a life goes from morally permissable to immoral.

Secular reasons for and against legalising abortion
|
Not the fucking issue and you know it. You are not going to pay shrink with me. With the issue of abortion the only safe way for society is to leave it between the doctor and the patient and regulate it so that it is safe, anything else is sticking your nose where it does not belong. Go play morality police somewhere else.

For all the rest of you, see the previous two posts. You decide who is appealing to emotion and who is attempting to have a rational discussion. I have nothing more to add to this tread.

Or they can grow up to slam planes into buildings. Or they can grow up to be serial killers like Dahmer. Or they can grow up to kill their own kids because god told them so. Happens all the time. Chad, you're so full of shit your eyes are brown.
No, my friend...you are just a religious busybody who wants to use forced pregnancy to oppress and dominate women. What's the matter with you? Dick too short? RE: Secular reasons for and against legalising abortion

You want to set up a utopia that will never exist and by insisting on that your wishful thinking will fuck society up. Do not be shocked when sane people stand up to your bullshit. I personally believe that aborting fetuses just because they have tested positive for Downs Syndrome for example is personally aborrent. Also as more fetuses are found to have this or that genetic "abnormality", the odds are very high that they will be aborted. However in spite of all that, I still support fully a woman or couple's right to choose.

I think what our resident utopia nut is fearing is that government will start forcing selective abortions. Now while governments can and have abused science, no one should advocate putting government in the position in making that choice for the doctor or the patient. Unlike the right who wants to force girls and women to have them regardless of conditions. I would not say it is the "right" as such, rather it is those with bibles shoved up their ânes (Excusez mon français).
