Secular reasons for and against legalising abortion

So do a lot of other medical procedures which are preformed, do we ban those procedures.

4. Legalising abortion will inevitably lead to selective abortion based on genetic abnormalities.

I personally believe that aborting fetuses just because they have tested positive for Downs Syndrome for example is personally aborrent. Also as more fetuses are found to have this or that genetic "abnormality", the odds are very high that they will be aborted.

However in spite of all that, I still support fully a woman or couple's right to choose.
