OP seems addicted to absolutism ... and very worried about the morality of rape.

The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 14, KJV revised edition
Well, the absolute truth only exists if it's appended to constants that don't change -e.g your current weight is truthfully equals to x on earth, but it's not true on the moon-.
Though as a Muslim, god exists infinitely. Above the borders of time, space & dimension ; and the Quran specified clearly that god's constants never change. Since the truth of my faith are bounded to such constants (made by an everlasting infinite god), then my answer is yes..
Tsun, yes rape is wrong at all times, so is theft.
I suppose you used rape as a generic moral question. (October 30, 2014 at 8:24 pm)ChadWooters Wrote: The truths of mathematics are absolute. The propositions of logic are universal. Certain axioms are also absolute: out of nothing, nothing comes; there is no substance without a form, etc. There is not just one mathematics nor just one logic. Axioms, by definition, are absolute, but that does not make them true.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.
I don't know. I'm not sure what 'truth' is, or 'a truth'. I lean towards coherentism and constructivism. Either way, I don't think belief in absolutes necessarily implies the existence of a god. Absolutes can exist without a god.

I see Whateverist voted no in this theist only poll.
Does that mean Whateverist just joined us and flipped sides? Glad to see the light is dawning....... |
