FAQ page on WTF is atheism.
November 2, 2014 at 2:05 pm
Most religious people seem to come here with redundant questions, but they do start off by telling us what we think. So instead of giving the same answer over and over, why not create a general FAQ for religious people which we can give as a reference to all drive-by posters, and can focus on having a sensible discussion when they understand our position?
It can also contain links to stuff like evolution and abiogenesis resources. It would really save our time on copy-pasting old posts.

Because that won't stop them.
These fuckers think they already have all the answers because someone told them about their Big Book of Holy Horseshit.

I guess you could pin a FAQ up in the intro section, but that doesn't mean they'll read them. Although when they bring it up, you could link the FAQ as your response instead of going into detail about what atheism is. It could be convenient, or it could be a wasted effort.

They won't read it, and even if they did they'd ignore it. IMHO anyway.

They ignore everything else.
We haven't had a Pliny/Suetonius/Tacitus post in a while. We're overdue.

I prophesy there's one coming up very shortly.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

We could have a nomination thread used like the funny things threads. The ones judged to be worthy added to the FAQ. Maybe just ad to a locked thread to make it less work for staff ??

Not bad at all, Frods.
It needs a catchy name, though.
How about "The Theists House of Horrible Facts?" Or, "Where Fairy Tales Go To Die?" Or, "Go Blow Tacitus Out Your Ass?"

Somehow I don't think those titles will make theist more likely to actually read the thread.
