Yeah, that's where there's some interpretation to be had: god loves the sinner not the sin. The verse forbids physical homosexual acts, not the emotions that lead to them. It's perfectly alright to be gay, you just have to be celibate for your entire life (p.s. no masturbating!).

God's the ultimate blue-baller.

Because being gay is not the unforgivable sin. It is a sin like any other, and God offers the same attonement from that sin as He does with anyother. The real question is how can a homosexual not be christian?

The whole "gays vs. Christianity thing is why I left Christianity in the first place because I figured if I was gonna ignore one verse, I may as well say "screw it" and forge my own moral ideas.

This is how I feel about it... there are no perfect Christians. Even if I sin differently than other Christians the center (of needing grace and forgiveness) applies to us all.

The idea that man can live apart from sin/without sin is the exact opposite of what the bible teaches. If we could we would not need to accept Christ's work of attonement.
