I think any purpose that gets assigned from any particular perspective is arbitrary. The universe appears neutral and has no goals. I have no problem accepting that. But I can see why a lot of people can't handle this, and I think that's one of the reasons religion is so popular. It gives a quick-answer meaning to life, so you don't have to worry about it any more.
All you can do is make the best of what you've got. I know I have feelings, and some are nicer than others. I assume other people do too. So the only purpose I can see worthwhile is to minimize harm and to help where possible. But the universe couldn't care less what I think my purpose is. It speaks to the arrogance of humans that they think they are the centre of god's focus, whereas they are actually just some crud growing on a speck of dust. Feel free to send me a private message.

Why has no one has mentioned love yet?

The meaning of your life is a personal question. I give myself meaning: maximize the things I enjoy, while minimizing the things I don't. No better meaning than that.

What's love got to do with it ??
It's just a second hand emotion. Two what I don't know. :-)
