Systematically dismantling religion

RE: Systematically dismantling religion
I don't get why religious types come to this forum if they aren't interested in serious discussion. They must know that an atheist pays no attention to bible verses or baseless assertions. Do they think if they do it just one more time atheists are gonna suddenly cave? What's the deal-io.

There are some that contribute in a thoughtful way, but I gotta say, a lot of posts I see on here I can't even be bothered to reply to. It's a shame people can't think for themselves more, tell us what their opinion is rather than what someone else says or some book says. And, like, a coherent argument would be nice. I feel like they have admitted that there are no rational arguments that can be made, so they result to an apologist toolkit of:

Deceit, logical fallacies, nonsense, deflection, (willful) ignorance, ignoring evidence, circular reasoning... it's not the tool kit of an honest argument, but rather smacks of desperation.

I'm not having a go at the people themselves, just pointing out what level most of the theistic "arguments" have sunk to.

Technologically advanced civilizations don't last long because of Fermi paradox.

You keep repeating that but it seems you haven't bothered reading up precisely what the paradox says.

Given the narrow boundaries of faith, there isn't much room to navigate. Especially evangelical christians feel compelled to spread their message and see no need for any outside sources that may contradict their belief system.

A coherent argument with incoherent data is hard to make.

Because this one, and the likes of His Travesty, aren't interested in talking or hearing counter arguments. They're just interested in spouting their own lies and bullshit because they think they have the need to push said lies and bullshit on everyone else, especially us evil heathens who don't believe in his imaginary friend.

And they're arrogant enough to expect us to accept their crap.

Note, however, that his sort would remove dissenting comments and posters from their own site in the way Comfort and Ham do on their own.

Yeah, it's really sad. If you reach the decision that you know everything already without question, you make it impossible to actually learn anything. Or find out whether or not you are wasting your life.

I think it must make them feel better to keep saying it. But do they really actually think it's going to have any impact?

But yeah, I think it is really cool that the forum is open to everyone and doesn't censor out religious comments, however banal. The block button is there if someone is just becoming persistently too annoying. I have only had to use this twice so far, so I guess that's not bad.

God commanded us to destroy atheism. God didn't commanded to be serious or honest with idol worshipers

So then you admit you have no interest in discussion and you are willing to lie to achieve your goals? Congratulations, now kindly go fornicate yourself with a cactus.

I'm not deigning to get into your "where are the aliens" horse manure again. You've already proven your perfect ignorance on that topic.

As for your other claim, you more or less admit to being the sock puppet of some pastor, who sent you on a mission. Given your track record, you can't expect to be taken seriously, or maybe you do, but that would be a sad day for you.

RE: Systematically dismantling religion
Regarding this kind of nonsense, how much does someone have to talk to get banned, or how does that work? If they're just not paying any attention and basically talking to themselves? I've seen quite a few people banned lately, and I wonder if people are actually trying to get banned. Some sort of badge of honour that atheists can't handle them. But if someone can't drive a go-kart properly yet, then it gets taken away. Fair enough.

It is sad that I have actually heard children as young as 6 come up with more thought out, interesting arguments than some of the stuff I read on here.
