Technologically advanced civilizations don't last long because of Fermi paradox.

The fact that they don't come to us tells us nothing about their survival abilities. Your issue is that you give a human personality to what's out there. You make a Christopher Columbus out of an advanced alien. You don't know what's out there. One thing that I can guarantee you is that they don't have CNN/BBC news channels and they don't visit other planets like humans visit different countries for recreation, in order to create a big show on TV about their interaction with new life forms and brag about it for dopamine reward. The reward they get transcends the physical and a human mind can never grasp it. You can't even grasp what Heroin does...get serious.

The need that humans have to move their physical body from place to place for recreation is a result of a lack of understanding of their reward system. To be honest with you, even traveling to another country to visit sites and museums is highly dangerous. While you fly, your life hangs into a jack screw, into a hydraulic line that served 2,000+ flights...into a half broken fuel canister. If there are aliens out there, they would label these people as clinically insane.

It's always a matter of motivation. What do they get by traveling so far? Aliens are not insane like Christopher Columbus...they probably already have everything they need where they are. Think about it, our sun can provide energy for billions of years, there is no need to go elsewhere. You can just build around it.

If they're just not paying any attention and basically talking to themselves? I've seen quite a few people banned lately, and I wonder if people are actually trying to get banned. Some sort of badge of honour that atheists can't handle them. But if someone can't drive a go-kart properly yet, then it gets taken away. Fair enough.

They were banned for different reasons as I understand. For necroposting and being a sock puppet.

And quite frankly, I would hate to see this one banned. He's amusing and provided some of the stupidest comments I've ever read. His grip on reality is hilarious.

Yeah, I mean once you cross a certain level of ridiculousness, it kind of turns into unintentional comedy.

Hehe, sock puppet that is funny. "I'm back! And this time, it's the same old shit as last time! You can't defeat my arguments if they don't even make sense!"

No, their kids have afterlife.

So aren't those, thankfully rare, religious parents who kill their children doing so out of the purest love? It sends them from a world of pain and sin to the presumably blissful afterlife.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

They need expansion to be protected against competitor aliens.

Where are all the aliens?

God commanded us to destroy atheism. God didn't commanded to be serious or honest with idol worshipers

What does the aliens have to do with the context you're using the paradox in within this thread, dumbfuck?

You've clearly stated that technologically advanced societies will collapse upon themselves so we won't reach a certain level of technology using the paradox as a supporting argument. Moving the goalpost again achieves nothing.

So, you admit you're a liar. Since you admit to lying that's grounds, as far as I'm concerned, for you to be flushed away with the rest of the turds.

Oh, and I'm an idol worshipper? You worship a dead Jew on a stick.

Or those parents praying for their children getting better without seeing a doctor. Oopsie, two dead kids in the loving care of sky daddy.

Yep, positively screams "love" to me.

Incredible reward that holds them still.

Anyone who can compete already gets similar or greater reward that keeps them still also. Think about it, while you're having sex you don't feel like taking a stroll, you feel like staying where you are.

Although it's insane to pray and not take your kids to the doctor, in some ways I respect at least the consistency of it. They really do believe what they claim to believe. Whereas your average religious guy prays really hard, yet takes them to the doctor. Kind of a contradiction.
