Deuteronomy 21:
18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who does not obey his father and mother and will not listen to them when they discipline him, 19 his father and mother shall take hold of him and bring him to the elders at the gate of his town. 20 They shall say to the elders, "This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not obey us. He is a profligate and a drunkard." 21 Then all the men of his town shall stone him to death. You must purge the evil from among you. All Israel will hear of it and be afraid.

When one becomes a Christian he/she comes to know God and knowing God is knowing He exists.

I'll ask again GC, what woudl you say to the multitudes of Christians (and pastors/priests) that believe there is a God, but don't claim to know for sure?

Never mind the evolution theory is not being compelling to the Christians. So it will be a bit hard to continue discussions if you keep coming with arguments that "there are no evidences..."

Me and my likes? My likes? Congratulations; I've had exactly two exchanges with you and now I officially don't like you.

You don't get to tell me what I will find compelling as evidence, nor do you get to generalise an entire demographic based on that. I have never, ever, said I can never accept evidence; neither have I ever said "there are no evidences" (shit grammar notwithstanding). The plain, unvarnished fact is that such evidence that has been presented has consisted of confirmation bias, historical misdirections, scientific distortions, pseudo-philosophical masturbation, logical gymnastics, known and admitted fraud, personal experiences, strawmen, special pleading, quotemining, appeals to consequences and emotion, threats of damnation, and I could go on but I'll run out of internet. Exhibit A is the "evolution theory not being compelling to xtians" tu quoque/red herring hybrid you crapped out without even realising. You'd think that any god worthy of the title could make its basic existence known, or at least knowable, without all the smoke and mirors.

Don't like that I discount your evidence? Tough - get better evidence. Or get out of my face.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

And we're all too lazy to really research for evidence, like the fact that Jesus existed... I've read sometime that it is historically proven but hell, I'm too lazy to dig that out and share it with you...because, you are already decided in your way of thinking.

So, smart atheists are following the herd to where? you are saying there is absolutely no purpose for our existence. we will die one day and that's it. I really admire you now because I do not think I could enjoy life knowing that I was some stupid accident. That's my weakness and I will own up to it. Thank God that's not the truth though.

See, I don't have to lean on an imaginary friend to get through life, enjoy it, and to give my life meaning.
I don't need to hope for eternal life to spend my entire life looking forward to. Doing so gives our one true life meaningless. Being mortal makes this life so far more important.

GC lines of text and someone imaginary and made up cannot judge you. The bible and its passages cannot judge anyone in this day and age. what do you think we are middle eastern?

Relying on "feelings" is a pretty poor way to determine the truth. Emotion is not rational.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Emotions are irrational but make us human. We as a species believe irrational things because of feelings and makes us do irrational things because of feelings. feelings do not lead someone from truth but further away from it.

Quote:what said racism is wrong man.

Quote: Man and his sinful self started racism and racism is still going strong around the world. The scriptures say love thy neighbor as thyself, there was no distinguishing between races.

GC

The First Commandment in Exodus 34:11-16 is completely racist. There's nothing in it about loving one's neighbors. If anything it says to kick them in their teeth and to take their stuff and to have nothing to do with them.

Even the Jesus character didn't associate with Gentiles and Samaritans unless he absolutely had to.

He purposely meet the woman at the well, she was a Samaritan. He also met with Gentiles one He called more faithful than any Jew.

How does one believe in something they are not sure exists, why trust your future to something you are not sure exists, you do know the scriptures teach that we can know without doubt that God exists.
Now, what would you say to them?
