The sad thing is, however, that aside from such purely mythical accounts of divine wrath as casting to Hell and assorted eschatological prodigies the churches also rely on more 'mundane' fear factors such as 'divine' interpretations of happenings and divinely-inspired violence. The latter works to take care of unbelievers and heretics and to make a point to "insecure" doubting believers at the same time.
If there's one thing that the Churches have ever been adept in it's controlling people through fear and deception.

there is to much fear and people already have issues in life why do they need a church to tell them what other stuff to worry about. that would the last thing on my mind before i have to worry about where i am going when i die. its a irrational fear to put on people its a irrational fear of the unknown but tries to answer it with you will go to heaven or go to hell. this place is bright its lively people love each other and there is music then there is hell its bad you get punctured with pitch forks get burned alive. though hell would be heaven for masochists. Fear shouldn't be taught in church but hope that is more useful than irrational fear.

If it's the classic fire-and-brimstone version where you burn but never die, I suppose I'd spend all my time screaming "I'M BURNING AHHHHH" over and over for eternity. Tedious, yet not exactly boring.
If it's the more modern "hell is a separation from god" version, then I guess I'd go about my afterlife the way I go about life now, since I'm already separated from god. Since I was already dead, I'd go on crazy adventures armed only with a sword and my wits, and hopefully have some penthouse pet as a sidekick-slash-love-interest. Unless you can't get it up in the afterlife, in which case I'd just have a talking raccoon follow me around as comedy relief.

it sound like you will have a great adventure. if its only a separation from god i can live my after life pretty well considering if its classic i'm going to burn hell after awhile of burning and screaming i would probably for my sake and sanity would start singing disco inferno by the tramps. if living without god is a separation from god and its like living life all over again i wouldn't mind.
