RE: MERGED: The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ (Part 1) & (Part 2)

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Seeing as he was the only one aboard the train... I say: let it wreck!
Here I was selecting some fine coals to keep the train going, and you guys close the tunnel!

oh.... then... why was he banned?
CD put up his ultimatum.... and then, without any further posts by HM, banned him.
I must have missed something...
His reply to me in PM indicated he had no intention of respecting our rules and that he was going to post however he damn well pleased.

You are overruled.
Overruled by who? The gods of the forum? Lord knows I can't veto such rulings.

The least that can be done is exactly the problem.

My thread was disrupted, so I am becoming disruptive.
Cthulhu Dreaming Wrote:If you want to continue posting here, you will cease that disruption in discussion threads.
Last I checked, I am the one that started the thread, and I should be able to talk about whatever I want to talk about in a thread that I created. But of course, the Constitution of the forum doesn't allow a person that created the thread to talk about what they want to talk about, right?
Cthulhu Dreaming Wrote:If you have constructive criticism to how this forum is moderated, we have a subforum appropriate for that sort of post. This one is not it.
I will continue to talk about it on the thread that I created.

Give me liberty on the forum, or give me "ban-ment"

Indeed. It has to be remembered that much of the operational work of the forum takes place behind the scenes, with private messaging being our primary source of communication with regular members. None of our decisions are ever made in a vacuum; whenever any action is taken, especially major ones such as this, you can be sure there are very good reasons.

Ah... I see. It was his wish.
I knew I had missed something... the PM!
How could I have not missed it?!

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
