Might want to educate yourself on the difference between communism and atheism. Atheism one and only common claim is the absence of a divine being. Between that there are many different shades, ranging from some being communists to some adoring Ayn Rand. It's not a belief system, unless you attach some ideology to it.

Are you serious? what part of "state sanctioned atheism" did you not understand?

I'll make it simple for you...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marxist%E2%...st_atheism

Marxist–Leninist atheism (Russian: Марксистско-ленинский атеизм) is a part of the wider Marxist–Leninist philosophy (the type of Marxist philosophy found in the Soviet Union), which rejects religion and advocates a materialist understanding of nature. Marxism-Leninism holds that religion is the opium of the people, in the sense of promoting passive acceptance of suffering on Earth in the hope of eternal reward. Therefore, Marxism-Leninism advocates the abolition of religion and the acceptance of atheism. Marxist-Leninist atheism has its roots in the philosophy of Ludwig Feuerbach, G.W.F. Hegel, Karl Marx, and Vladimir Lenin.

And what part of Ayn Rand didn't you understand? Once again, atheism isn't a religion, nor is it an ideology. Atheists fill the whole spectrum between left and right, they only agree on one thing. Fucking sky daddy doesn't exist.

My point is, people that identify themselves as atheists, have the biggest body count of anyone.

Don't "Christians" fill the spectrum from Catholics to protestant, denominational to non-denominational, yet you include them all in the same category, even though one has nothing to do with the other.

It's Ironic that you expect me to make a distinction between atheists....

They all believe in Jesus. Other than that, there is a myriad of differences between the sects. Atheists have no sects. The only commonality is their disbelief in a magic sky-daddy.

Communism does not include atheism as part of the governmental structure, however, certain leaders may enforce atheism under their rule.

By enforcing atheism, a secular government is now in place, which eliminates 'church rule'. We all do remember the inquisition?

You still miss the point. More people died under the "secular" government than the religious one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_Inquisition

Quote:Modern historians have begun to study the documentary records of the Inquisition. The archives of the Suprema, today held by the National Historical Archive of Spain (Archivo Histórico Nacional), conserves the annual relations of all processes between 1540 and 1700. This material provides information on about 44,674 judgements, the latter studied by Gustav Henningsen and Jaime Contreras. These 44,674 cases include 826 executions in persona and 778 in effigie. This material, however, is far from being complete—for example, the tribunal of Cuenca is entirely omitted, because no relaciones de causas from this tribunal have been found, and significant gaps concern some other tribunals (e.g. Valladolid). Many more cases not reported to the Suprema are known from the other sources (e.g. no relaciones de causas from Cuenca have been found, but its original records have been preserved), but were not included in Contreras-Henningsen's statistics for the methodological reasons. William Monter estimates 1000 executions between 1530–1630 and 250 between 1630–1730.

now compare that with the 100 million+ deaths under communism.

Actually it's a serious thing. God does not kill but he does permit or allow things to happen.

(December 1, 2014 at 11:18 pm)JesusChristLover Wrote: Now this is the most misunderstood notion in the whole of Christian Theology.

God created a world, a wild and free world, to be the breeding ground for things God values in human beings — things like courage, devotion, loyalty, self-sacrifice, kindness, generosity, hope, trust. By anybody’s reckoning these are a few of the noblest features of humanity. Would such qualities exist in a world without risk, danger, calamity — and death?

Remember, God suffers with us. "God loved the world so much that he gave his Son that whoever believes in him would have new life. God sent his Son to save the world, not to condemn it".

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I think you are missing the point. We are interested in how many that god has personally killed, directly by his own actions. This includes Noah's Flood, any time the earth opened up and swallowed people, killing Job's family, Sodom, sending bears to maul the kids that made fun of Elisha's baldness. I'd even thrown in all the times that God commands the israelites to slaughter a group of people. We hold Hitler accountable for the genocides he ordered, so we also hold God accountable for the genocides that he commanded, as well as the ones that he directly handled himself. But even if we just counted Noah's flood, then the death toll is in the tens of millions.

But the number of people killed by Satan ... around a dozen, Job's family (with God's permission, but it's OK because God gave Job a new family).

If you believe that natural disasters are god's punishment for wickedness, then we can throw all of those in too, which probably drives God's body count into the hundreds of millions.

God made atheists, so he is responsible too for any killings they do. He knew they were gonna kill people, he knows this stuff.

Ultimate power brings ultimate responsibility.

Also, God made death. And recent studies show a strong correlation between death and being dead.
