New Jurassic World Trailer

RE: New Jurassic World Trailer
I loved Judy Greer in Arrested Development. (btw, one of the top 5 sitcoms of all time.)

This movie will almost certainly disappoint me. But, as the first movie was so awesome and formative for me, I will fanboy it up.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I disagree, they are worth rants to me

Then question then becomes how much are your rants worth? Thinking

Which is the idiot?

Who cares?! Tongue

Moar Jurassic Park + Chris Pratt = $$$

And yet I'll go see because I have a ton of JP related stuff from my childhood.
Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?

Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

The vast majority of what comes out of the major studios is utter crap,

I agree. But why? So often I wonder why 100 million were spent on fx, another 100 mill on famous actors, and apparently 5$ on the script. Why why why?

Because that's what they think sells (and they're probably right).

I rarely see new movies any more, and almost never in the cinema - I may have seen four movies at the cinema in the last 4 or 5 years, and with the pablum that Hollywood has been putting out, I can't see that changing.

I will note that the cinema I usually to, in addition to having state-of-the-art projection and sound, *also* serves kick ass beer. Strong beer. At least when I do go to the cinema, I'm able to get my mind into an easily entertained state.

Most of the shit coming out of Hollywood isn't even worth the bandwidth to download free. I'll watch this one, because dinosaurs, fuck yeah, but that's about all it's gonna have going for it for me. Aside from the cost, I hate like hell to have two-three hours of my life that I'll never get back.

Havent been to the movies in 2 years this winter, for the same reason. I really don't get it. I'm not a fan of pretentious author film stuff either, so I'm stuck with watching mostly 80s and 90s stuff at home.

I generally think movie industry has jumped the shark and become a forgettable gimmick factory, as all good story telling now happens in tv series.

Same here. I'm rediscovering some older film as well, recently rewatched "12 Angry Men" - that even kept my girlfriend's teenage son glued to the screen (though he's a drama geek, so perhaps not surprising).

Looks as if they're just pissing all over Crichton's legacy to me. Is it even still set in Costa Rica?

As if you could possibly have a giant crocodile in close proximity to humans like that - not to mention the fact about where did they get a giant crocodile is that another one of their "genetic inventions"? And where the fuck is the main character (Ian Malcolm)? Let me guess, they decided they don't need the main character, just like Jurassic Park III. What a surprise.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke

Yeah yeah, in principle, all these things piss me off, too. I was so close to write a fanfic sequel myself, with some of these characters and some depth. Anyways... What parts in particular of MCs legacy you think they get particularly wrong?
I love the whole franchise too much to already be miserable now, though. I'll save it for after watching it, possibly.

But the croc is not a croc but a Mosasaur, which were discovered a stone throw from where I live. However, they made the movie version like 4 times the length of the original.
