I've presented my case with specific examples and articulated why there is a racial element to the GOP's psychotic hatred and deliberate sabotage of the country. At least twice now, maybe three times.

You keep responding with the bare assertion "nuh uh uh".

Time to shit or get off the pot. Elaborate on your rebuttal of my case beyond just a vapid denial.

Please articulate in your answer what specific policies Obama has advocated or implemented that in any way, shape or form justifies the willful sabotage of America, that the GOP is forced to destroy his presidency even if it means tearing apart the country, burning it all down and dancing on the ashes.

Please be more specific than the usual "something something Benghazi something something Communism something something trying to take away our guns".

As Capt has pointed out, we hated W Bush too. However, we could articulate why (lied us into a war, crashed the economy, cronyism over competence, corporate welfare corruption, wedge issue fostering of bigotry, just to name a few) and our resistance to W Bush was focused on elections and working within the system, not government shutdowns and gumming up the works on Capitol Hill.

Oh, and speaking of their tactics, the GOP is about to shut down the government again over yet another political tantrum. I only hope the damage to the economy is mild this time.

You didn't prove anything close to a case of racism with your so-called specific examples. All you did was blow a lot of hot air with your usual long winded ranting about a GOP racist conspiracy theory. Opposing barack obama's policies does not equate to racism....and barack doesn't need help from anybody to destroy his presidency. He's doing a fine job destroying his own presidency, all by himself. The mid-terms proved that voters have had enough of barack obama and the democrats. He couldn't even muster up enough excitement and support for his policies to get more people out to the polls.

democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu, (Louisiana), loses her run off re-election bid to Republican challenger, Bill Cassidy, by a landslide defeat of 65% to 35%. This now gives the Republicans a nine seat majority in the Senate. The democrat campaign tactics of GOP racism, the GOP war on women, the GOP war on this, and the war on that, yada, yada, yada, just didn't work on the voters this time around. You guys lost. We won.

Translation:

"Nuh uh uh."
"Did not."
"Obama bad. Really bad."
"Did I mention lately that we won the last mid term?"

Thank you. That was every bit as brilliant, specific and insightful as I expected from you.

Hey Capn, here's more evidence. Take a gander at ATheists response to my questions. Just look at how well he articulates his grievances against Obama. And to think I told you conservatives couldn't come up with anything specific to justify their psychotic behavior towards the president.

"Obama bad"
"Obama baaaaaadddddd!"

Yes, they are racist shitballs. And now we have a study telling us why.

http://www.newswise.com/articles/study-e...cal-system

Quote:David Cunningham, professor and chair of the Department of Sociology at Brandeis University, Rory McVeigh of the University of Notre Dame, and Justin Farrell of Yale University report that KKK activity played a significant role in shifting voters’ political party allegiance in the South in the 1960s — from Democratic to Republican — and it continued to influence voters’ activities 40 years later.

The researchers studied county voting records in 10 southern states in which the KKK actively recruited members in the 1960s. The analysis of five presidential voting outcomes, between 1960 and 2000, showed that southern counties with KKK activity in the 1960s had a statistically significant increase in Republican voting compared to counties with no established KKK chapter, even after controlling for a range of factors commonly understood as relating to voting preferences. They also found that conservative racial attitudes among voters in the 1992 election strongly predicted Republican voting, but only in counties where the KKK was organized in the 1960s.

RE: Are Republicans racist???
Oh, one more thing about the "both sides" mantra and the pejorative that "you're so biased" or "you're so extreme":

It's a logical fallacy: Appeal to The Middle Ground

Nizkor Project: Logical Fallacies Wrote:This fallacy is committed when it is assumed that the middle position between two extremes must be correct simply because it is the middle position. this sort of "reasoning" has the following form:

1. Position A and B are two extreme positions.
2. C is a position that rests in the middle between A and B.
3. Therefore C is the correct position.

This line of "reasoning" is fallacious because it does not follow that a position is correct just because it lies in the middle of two extremes. This is shown by the following example. Suppose that a person is selling his computer. He wants to sell it for the current market value, which is $800 and someone offers him $1 for it. It would hardly follow that $400.50 is the proper price.

This fallacy draws its power from the fact that a moderate or middle position is often the correct one. For example, a moderate amount of exercise is better than too much exercise or too little exercise. However, this is not simply because it lies in the middle ground between two extremes. It is because too much exercise is harmful and too little exercise is all but useless. The basic idea behind many cases in which moderation is correct is that the extremes are typically "too much" and "not enough" and the middle position is "enough." In such cases the middle position is correct almost by definition.

It should be kept in mind that while uncritically assuming that the middle position must be correct because it is the middle position is poor reasoning it does not follow that accepting a middle position is always fallacious. As was just mentioned, many times a moderate position is correct. However, the claim that the moderate or middle position is correct must be supported by legitimate reasoning.

Anytime either ATheist or the "both sides" faux-centrists want to bring me a logical argument backed by the data, I'm all ears.

Anytime now.

KKKers may well all be Republicans. That doesn't mean that all Republicans are KKKers. Drawing conclusions about all Republicans doesn't seem justified.

I hope that no one is seriously suggesting otherwise. A discussion on the GOP and race needs to be carefully worded so as not to give that impression.

A political party can pursue a policy of stoking bigotry in various forms without individual members of that party sharing that bigotry. In that case, it's still a valid point to say the party is bigoted even as members are not.

Examples:
1. In 2004, The Bush/Cheney ticket pursued a strategy of "wedge issues" which, among other things, fomented bigotry against gays. Cheney's own daughter was gay, so it's highly unlikely that Cheney is homophobic, but the GOP certainly was.
2. Karl Rove, the mastermind behind the wedge issue strategy, was himself an agnostic. Yet that didn't stop him from mobilizing fundamentalist Christians in promoting the evangelical agenda. He himself wasn't one of them but his party certainly was in their camp.
3. Since Nixon, the GOP has to some extent or other, pursued a "Southern Strategy" which is about stoking racial divisions and paranoia of black people. This means that while the individual Republicans might not be racist, the GOP is.

The question that we need to ask is whether or not the GOP itself is pursuing an agenda (or using a strategy) of stoking racial bigotry.

To answer that question, I keep coming back to the psychosis that the GOP has with the current president, so extreme that they are willing to shut down the government, entertain defaulting on our bills and doing other things that are destructive to the nation they are part of and represent. Being willing to tear down the country just to harm the presidency of the one at the helm is pretty extreme to say the least. What the hell is behind it?

Conservatives like ATheist are completely incapable of articulating what horrible crimes Obama has done to warrant such foaming vitriol and self-destructive behavior, especially when the next presidential election is only two years away. Instead of burning down the country, they could work within the system the way we liberals did when we hated the man in office (for reasons we COULD clearly articulate, by the way).

Some have disagreed my conclusions that the hatred is partly about race but you tell me, what am I supposed to think? Conservative can answer, if they are able, what is it about if not race?

It does not have to be "all." It merely has to be a sufficiently large enough sample to tilt the election which is what the study is saying.
