Jesus taught that "I am the way". Obviously he meant that, life him, we are to follow the dictates of our own reason. We are to bring a sword and topple the old idols. If we meet a Buddha or a Christ on the road, run that sucker through. The way which Jesus promoted was finding your own way. So kill him and you will join him. Or just go on licking at his boots and make him face palm some more. The choice is simple.

The Case for an Insurrection Against Jesus Christ, Part II
|
Oh yes! Did we actually get together and kill him last time? Or did we just talk about it?
If we had any idea what he actually said, that is if he actually existed, then we could ignore it and kick his ass. What's he gonna do about? I'll slap him silly until he runs out of cheeks to turn. Feel free to send me a private message.

I wonder what will happen to that split-brain guy who has one half of his brain a theist, and one an atheist. Does he get ripped in half on judgement day? (Yes this is a real case as far as I'm aware.)
Does each half get a soul? Or half his soul? How could he ever be happy knowing the other half of him is being tortured? Feel free to send me a private message.

Oh, not bitter really. This thread was mostly conceived in jest involving the titles of recent threads. I really should have put it in a different forum.
I don't really think that all religious experience is best characterized as boot licking. I've seen it done better than that. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" |
