Jesus is ancient mythology. As phony as all the others.

Poll: Was Jesus the Son of God, or What? This poll is closed. |

Yes. There was a man born of a flesh and blood woman named Mary who was impregnated by God himself. That makes him the son of God, by gawd. | 5 | 12.82%
No. Jesus was or was probably a real, historical person from the time period depicted in the bible but he was not the spawn of God. | 4 | 10.26%
No. The Jesus of the bible was not or was probably not a historical person. More the stuff of legend and myth or possibly just fiction. | 11 | 28.21%
Oh hell no. It's all bullshit. No gods. No offspring of gods. No woo woo shit at all. | 13 | 33.33%
Don't know. Without an adequate definition of "god" it is impossible to know who may be the son of one, or if a 'god' is even capable of having a child. | 2 | 5.13%
Don't care. Not really sure what I'm doing on the Christian sub forum, but as long as I'm here I'd just like to register my extreme disinterest. | 2 | 5.13%
None of the above but I'll be letting you know in a comment. | 0 | 0%
None of the above and I can't be bothered to comment. | 2 | 5.13%

Is Jesus the son of God?

I think you misspelled Horus.
I can see it being possible that he was either made up entirely, or the result of collected stories from multiple messianic figures. Heck, I can even see a myth developing around one man and a group of uneducated sheep herders. But, none of that matters to the question being asked seeing as there is no evidence of a god, or any laws that might allow for magic.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay." For context, this is the previous verse: "Hi Jesus" -robvalue (December 16, 2014 at 4:31 pm)whateverist Wrote: That would have made for a good option, that Jesus is actually the offspring of Osiris making Jehovah a cuckold for claiming him as his Jesus when he was as you rightly point out Horus."If you've popped one virgin cherry via long distance, you've popped them all."
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Is that Horus, or Lucky Luciano?

More or less 1. (Close enough for an Atheist poll)

2, with 1 coming in very close.
He was a sage with a remarkable message. A message so simple that hardly anyone understood it. In fact, hardly anyone still really knows much about what his message actually was. They seems to be very illogical, grounded in fallacious arguments from silence, and provide no evidence to even adequately support a legitimate argument from silence.
When I give a shit for your opinion I'll let you know. Meanwhile, unless you can produce evidence that your godboy existed and did all the magic tricks claimed for him you are just one more deluded fool who believes everything he reads in a silly old book.
P.S. - before you waste your time, your bible is not "evidence." Your bible is the claim. |
