You know even teaching in the bay area where there are plenty of families who are either not religious or are at least very tolerant, I don't see any reason to be open about it. For the kids who would be offended it would create an impediment to being successful for them academically. Why do that? I'm in it to be of value to them and, around here at least, those who are conservative Christians are the least successful academically.

Hell, at the beginning of this year I was in New York on a course and there were others from other countries and many Americans on the course as well.
After orientation we went outside and a couple of the others from the South said they were going to look for a church to pray in and did I want to come along?
I said, no, I'm an atheist and the look I got from some of them . . .
They were decent enough not to make any smart arse comments about it except one who said, "You shouldn't say that out loud!"
We all go along and I still communicate with several of them.
Just to be super clear, I don't hide the fact that I come here to hide my Atheism. It says so on my facebook page. I'm somewhat outspoken in real life. Also my girlfriend is an Atheist so it's obviously not an issue with her. No, I hide that I come here because it's super dorky to be part of an internet forum.

I actually enjoyed Utopia while it lasted, but I didn't like the idea of a year-long season for it, just because that's not how TV usually is in this country. Not surprised to see it fail, but I liked it.
I also watch NASCAR! Dale Jr. fan. And, for the record, I like NASCAR playoffs in general (The Chase, I guess), but it was so freaking mysterious until it actually started. NASCAR said how the Chase would work, but I never understood it in their words, I guess.
So those are my two low brow vices.

And when I say I love MMA, I mean watching it. Haha I would break if I attempted it.
Yeah, I always just say the UFC to people who are at best casually aware of the sport. Clarification for everyone else: MMA is really the correct term. It's sort of like the NFL and Football. Football is the sport and the NFL is the league. MMA is the sport and UFC is the largest league.
I actually joined an MMA club for a very brief time. I didn't really like it as a sport to participate in. It turns out that getting hit isn't very fun. I still enjoy watching it.

It takes a big man to admit he watches Glee.
I'm a big homo and I don't watch Glee

In all fairness to you, I'm not really sure what is more gay:
A. Watching an episode of Glee by yourself as a man
B. Sucking a dick

I enjoyed wrestling in high school though I didn't do any school wide teams. The high light of my wrestling career came in a regular high school physical education class. The wrestling coach had us in the room where the team worked out. Actually there were two rooms, both padded with high ceilings connected by a large opening that could be sealed off by an accordion door.
We were divided into two teams in one of the rooms. The team that tossed all of the other team team out first would win. The team I wasn't on had one of the start football players on it. This big Samoan kid was also the discuss thrower. He was tossing my whole team out pretty effortlessly so I decided to try to take him out by surprise. I let him put me over his shoulder but when he went to throw me over, I held on to his torso, swung my legs over hard and succeeded in tossing him instead. Almost landed standing in the original room but at least I took him with me. No idea which team won.

Well, by definition, I think it would have to be .. watching an entire episode of Glee without provocation.

You know what they say, you can paint a millions portraits, and never become an artist, but you watch one episode of Glee...
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:

Mind candy novels: The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher; Navaho Mystery Novels, by Tony Hillerman; The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series, by Stieg Larsson, and on and on.
Bad reality shows: Bridezilla, Pawn Stars, and Storage Wars. The latter two I watch in hotel rooms on vacation or business. The first I *gasp* own several seasons of on DVD.

Would watching an episode of Glee either make me a better dick sucker or make me want to do it more often ??
(hard to imagine #2 there, but I guess it needs to be included)
