I mean whats the point coming here as a theist just to spread the word and have faith we will all turn into theists again...
Nope pretty much wont. Personally ill never go back to a abrahamic faith not even if i was threatened with violence. But then again
its fun reading theists posts and poking holes into their faith.

Few reasons. Speaking personally, I came because I like to challenge my beliefs. I belonged to a Christian forum as well but it was mostly a circle jerk. That's one reason I've not been around so much since my deconversion. I had lots of fun on my old Christian hangout til I got banned.
For a lot of folk I think they have a nagging guilt that they're not being persecuted enough. It's tough being a Christian in a Christian nation. Three choices, one, fly to Iraq or Syria and work as a missionary, two, hang about a forum where they feel marginalised, or three, tune into Fox news and believe the claims that there is a war on Christians, waged by your Muslim president.

For me, this board has offered valuable insights when it comes to religion. It's the first atheist board I joined though I have encountered a few religious people on political boards as well. But I didn't have any idea, how narrow minded and literal American Evangelicals really are. People like these are virtually unknown in Europe. It was an eye opener, since when you ramble about Adam and Eve being real persons you would be laughed from the room in my country.
