Can you make a God claim?

RE: Can you make a God claim?
Not sure where you're getting the idea that we require "absolute proof", GC. In fact, just about all of us here see any sort of "absolute" anything as a rather useless concept. We're just asking for some sort of independently verifiable, repeatable evidence, that's all. If God isn't interested in providing us with any real evidence outside of his fanclub's fanfiction from 2000 years ago, then it's his loss.

The assertion to evidence ratio is dangerously approaching critical mass.

I never asked for any proof in this thread (regarding a God). Just a claim would be nice, with coherent definitions. Nothing so far.

The problem is, if you make a testable claim, it's possible it could be proved wrong. So I understand the reluctance to even try. Maybe that's worth some thought.

I see you are not to proud to put up a slave owner as your hero, typical, run down Christianity about slaves and turn around and make a hero out of one, one who fits your way of thinking. Your fellow atheist would say that's a double standard if we were to use something along those lines.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Your criteria requires proof, deception on your part, deception that would allow you to defend your way of thinking.

Yes, I'm sure I'm the devil.

You really can't even define God, can you? Not even that much?

You said you wanted to challenge your faith. That's what I'm doing, and you're not interested.

Ah, threats again! That's how you defend your faith? You realize those threats are about as scary as a 3 year old pointing a water pistol at me?

You...are aware that that pair of Samuel Johnson's portraits are commonly used on the internet to express a sentiment of "What the fuck am I reading", correct? Internet memes are usually humorous shortcus for expressing views or emotions. Seriously dude, take a step back from the utterly deluded self-righteousness that seems to be the feed for your high horse.

Well, as long as he doesn't bother providing any evidence, I don't believe I will be either.

And you gloating over me burning in hell is such a nice sentiment, really brings out your Christian morals.

I using scripture have defined God for nearly 5 years, if one isn't going to listen in that amount of time it's because they Lalala. There's some verses in the NT that refer to this, but you want listen so why should I try with you anymore. Seems to me you've decided your eternal destination already.
