This one is pretty off topic but I think I'm just looking for some support. My boyfriend is a seven day Adventist and today we broke up because of it. We were together for a little over a year and I love him very much. I was raised to think freely and never realized how religious one person could possibly be. I was naive. A few months ago we started having arguments about religion. I even went to church with him several times and tried my best to be supportive, but I was slowly putting myself away. I was slowly shutting out the person I had grown to be. His religious views and absolute certainty about Christianity is so ridiculous to me I couldn't marry him and raise children to have that instilled in them too. We decided to do study sessions where he would teach me about Christianity and I would teach him about evolution (as if they were even comparable but that's what he picked as my counter argument). Everything he showed me and told me was such complete and utter BS I couldn't believe that he believed it! Today we had our final argument and decided that if we truly love each other we would have to let each other go because trying to make the other one happy just took away from our own happiness. Christianity makes him very happy and my opinions were getting in the way of that. I was just wondering if anyone else has dated someone religious and knows how I feel right now? Positive feedback would be great thanks everyone

I can't give you much of an advice, but I can tell you that I've been married to a catholic girl for 10 years.... Every sunday, she goes to her mass... and I sleep in.
