I am no organizer and do not have the means in any case. This has been posted on several pages and twitter and FB so that those who are part of organizations can take my suggestion as an option.

I had heard about the mom punching analogy, but I didn't know there was a protest going on that was somehow related to it.

Ok.......I'll try one more time.

There are no planned protests that I know of. I put this all over the web as a suggestion to anyone who is part of an org that might be willing to set up a protest when he does visit this fall.

It is important, just like supporting Hebdo. Religion wont go away, but when people suggest violence in the name of religion they need to be protested. Got it yet?

Ok could have titled it better, not much space in the field to submit a title to a thread.

Just curious, but wouldn't protesting the pope be a natch for Westboro Baptist ?

No shortage of kiddie buggerers in the priesthood, and a false religion to boot.

I'd find their absence mysterious.

Don't equate atheists to those nutfucks. You do realize a protest against the Pope would be protesting his implication of violence for being picked on. WBC are just bigots. Atheists are not protesting the existence of Catholics, but the idea of religion deserving to be blasphemy free.

He can say whatever bullshit claims he wants but others have the right to call his claims bullshit. I would say punching someone over mere words is childish. Religion causes humans to go way beyond punching.

"The pope is wrong, so someone else should protest."

I don't think it quite works that way.

I was getting a hardon imagining the 'strange bedfellows' angle from having gay groups, women's groups, women priests, male nuns, atheists, and Westboro Baptist all protesting Pope Frank.

At the same time.

Cuz pollution doesn't kill.....lack of pollution kills. Asshole.

How long until Alex Jones is found naked in the woods screaming about nazis and fighting a deer?
