I would like AngelThMan, being a believer, to explain why Christian's mourn when someone dies though. Never had a response to that one. Since you posed this question with a more logical approach, it is worth a respectful answer. I'm a theistic evolutionist and not a fundie, so my concept of heaven and hell may not be as black and white, or even as defined as theirs are. However, I think I can put myself in the place of fundies when I answer that just because you believe your relative is going to heaven doesn't mean you're not human and don't form bonds with loved ones. So the fact that you won't see them again in this current life is enough to mourn them. Also, death usually comes with suffering, either through disease or violence, and that's a considerable part of the grief.

How very childishly selfish of you.
So are you saying that you would rather have that loved one stuck here in pain and suffering so you are spared the grief of their death??

Woah! Turn down the flames please, its getting a little hot around here. He answered honestly even if you don't agree with his position.
@ angel - sure, i can appreciate that, but at the end of the day, they are going to be having the time of their life from that point on. Sure, you can be upset and sad, but overall you should be joyous. Have a little cry that they are gone, then crack open the champaign bottle and drink a toast to their success.
Its like in that Bond film where Bond is (i think) in the Caribbean and there is a funeral procession. Everyone is crying etc, and then suddenly the music changes to happy and people start celebrating..... perhaps this is how religious funerals should be? (IIRC it was a voodoo thing.... but that shouldn't make a difference... on one hand a zombie, on the other a person who dies and is reborn.... erm...).
A finite number of monkeys with a finite number of typewriters and a finite amount of time could eventually reproduce 4chan.

How is it against christian doctrine? Is there anything that says "Believe in me and all your sins will be forgiven, unless you murder your child"?

The Holy Ghost is an asshole!
Am I going to hell now?

Lol I guess I will be seeing you there Thor. I'd rather be in hell than to spend eternity blowing smoke up gods ass about how great and wonderful he really is and playing a harp or fucking tamborine till my ears bleed.

The Holey Ghost (what, just add water and you get sea monkeys)?? Yup guess I'll be seeing you guys there as well. At least it will be warm.
P.S
Umm If we're dead how can terrible pain, the whole nashing of teeth thingy, be inflicted on us?? Wouldn't we need a body for that?
