RE: Catholic vandal on trial: punishment would be an "attack on Christians."

The people chained up in my basement call me a loving God too. Or else they don't eat and I kick the crap out of them.
They do it automatically now, they are so broken down they actually do think I'm a loving God. I promised them a bunch of stuff for later, when I finally release them. It keeps them going.
There's no stuff. But they can't prove there isn't! So I'm sorted.
Feel free to send me a private message.

Well I guess you'd better hope you're right.

That is not justice, by any civilized definition of the word.
The thing is, you can live a life good enough to get into heaven, that is why the law was given to the Jews, to prove you aren't able to keep the law.
It's not as simple as just "saying words", it's making a sincere decision to turn away from former transgressions, and becoming a new creature, and starting over from a new slate. In God's eyes the past transgressions never existed.

Did you forget that the tried to overthrow God?

6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

That means he'd have to drastically change who I am, and who everyone else is, so he can have a society in heaven where everyone gets along and worships him. I am all of my virtues and faults combined. I am my life experiences. If you take away so much of me that I can believe homosexuality is an abomination, but slavery, genocide, and rape of virgins is ok, then I'm not me anymore.
No, you have to change before you get into heaven, which is why you must be reborn, through water.
Quote:John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
You'd better hope you're right too. Not every religion can be right, but every religion can be wrong.
You mean we can't live a life good enough to get into heaven, instead of can? That's part of the problem. I'm told I'm not good enough for heaven, and there's nothing I can do about it, and am expected to beg forgiveness. Forgiveness for not obtaining the unobtainable, or losing something I never had. I'm sure you'd fit right in with the mafia. Making shopkeepers pay protection money so you don't screw them over afterwards.
Why does it mater how sincere you are when you ask forgiveness on your death bed? Why should that take priority over someone who was as good a person as any Human has ever been over their entire lifetime?
And with good reason, apparently. He's an incompetent, genocidal narcissist. He failed in what he wanted to do, and his favorite way of trying to fix a problem is killing people. And we're supposed to be ok with this guy roasting his enemies for not worshiping him.
Even if I change somewhat here, he';s still going to change me more when I get to heaven. He'd have to, or I'd just eventually sin anyway. Fire or lobotomy? Tough choice. I will accept quick destruction over lobotomy, though.
