MAN Christianity is depressing!

RE: MAN Christianity is depressing!
Agreed, I cringe at some of those old hymns. I would never want my son singing those. But if you're going to be trite and have horribly imagery I guess that's better than brittney spears. Big Grin
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

As for Christianity being depressing, perhaps if you're easily depressed but then you could say the same for the cold, indifferent view of the Universe that science has shown.

Personally I think most things are only depressing if your mind works that way. Other things, like Q.I. being replaced with 'Eurovision: Your Country Needs You' is depressing no matter what your mood Sad

Please don't tell me that England is going to convert to the Euro now... that is exactly what will not restore my faith in humanity :S

I'm personally not sure what would drive someone to listen to Brittney Spears...

But I do know what drives people to listen to songs that glorify torture: religion Wink
