Eventually we'll notice another physical dimension we have just been overlooking, and we'll be able to use it to hop over to anywhere in the universe.
I keep looking for it. It's at right angles to all these three...... If I find it first, it's mine! More likely we're on the 3D surface of a 4D object though, all twisted up around that object. Bummer. Feel free to send me a private message.

I would guess that (barring mass extinction from religious extremists nuking the whole goddamn planet) by that time we'll have already expanded out into the universe. I hope that is the case. I have a vested interest in my uploaded consciousness surviving even after the planet's destruction.
