Wow. What a judgmental twat. It's just obvious that he has a different lifestyle. Do all Christians come equipped with gaydar? Do they see a v-neck and say, "AHA! Sinner!" I just hate hit pieces like these. They constantly try and make gay people out to be some disease-infested leper that must be avoided at all costs. Oh, the gay is reaching past you for a shelf! Hold back your vomit, dear Christian, and pray that the gay doesn't latch onto you like a flea!
The piece is ostensibly about Christians needing to love homosexuals despite their imagined sins, but the contempt and hatred on display sheds light on what this guy and people like him really think. They can claim otherwise, claim that they love gay people in the way that Christ loves them, but it's bullshit. You can't sit down and write this kind of bilge without having serious hatred coursing through your godly, black heart.
The rest of the article refers to people in the LBGT community as though they are some kind of animals. He goes on to say that "it’s very hard for a 'good church-going person' to live alongside these people in peace". In peace? So, what they really want to do is be violent because they're faced with something they don't like? Also, he used the old, trusty "these people" line - always a favorite one group which absolutely abhor another.
I can't stand to see people vilified in this manner, but this is the AFA we're talking about here. Its acolytes barely qualify as human.
Anyway, I just wanted to vent. Oh, yeah. He also asks in the second paragraph, "What would Jesus do?"
He'd spell "aisle" right, you fucking cretin.
Quote:You’re at the supermarket buying ingredients for dinner, and suddenly into the isle walks one of them. It’s obvious that he subscribes to a different lifestyle than you, one that is unbiblical and immoral. You try not to make eye contact as you examine the prices of cream of chicken soup, but he comes closer. “Excuse me,” he says as he reaches past you for an item on the shelf.http://afa.net/the-stand/homosexuality/l...ving-them/
What goes through your mind? Do you stand still, hoping you don’t have to engage him at all? Do you look for an escape so that you can get to an isle full of “normal” people? Allow me to pull a dated Christian phrase off the shelf: “What would Jesus do?”
