Did your church use pictures of a white european jesus?

Because the pictures depicting a white Jesus are probably more likely modeled after Serapis bey.

Sounds a bit tricky, as modern depictions of Jesus date from the late 15th Century, and Serapis Bey was invented in the 1870s.

Yes they did, mostly because, well, the people in the church more or less WERE white Europeans who don't care if studies have shown that he not only looked darker, but almost exactly like the late Eli Wallach.
