I know, God forbid (no pun intended) reason is actually shown
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

Catholicism is such a gargantuan pile of crap. I hate how it gets away with so much simply because it's a 'Religion', being a religion is such a great cop-out of responsibility. When a religion comes along things do always seem to get corrupt pretty fucking fast... and religions can even be started quite easily of course (look at Scientology... be it a 'cult' or 'religion' - basically, it's pretty much the same thing - they're both fucked up piles of crap containing ridiculous beliefs).
It would be good if the Pope could actually do something constructive.... 'prayer' isn't going to help because that's just ANOTHER pile of religious superstitious bullshit that does no good.
If the Pope is to be really, really frank and straightforward, I think he should say "Sorry that the religion I represent is a complete and total monstrosity packed full of malignant bullshit beliefs".

The Pope is about the only person for whom prayer is effective, as people find out what he prays for and they make it happen.
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
