Proving that spying on computers is a physical reality, pretty easy one too.

Well, I had this idea and I bored, despite this topic being known by almost everybody, many people had doubts that it's possible.

Many people would still believe it's conspiracy theory stuff, so I decided to implement & design my own simple spy app on android phones. I recorded it on video & avoided screen recording (for credibility).

As an addition, the concept of programming is counting mainly on using what is known as registers, or RAM cells with reference numbers (outside hardware, we call these variables), actually without that you will have no computer. So, the question of "spying" is a matter of "sending the value of a variable register to a third party". So, spying on apps and internet activity is a fact, not only a theory.

There are many ways to spy out there and I appreciate you raising awareness. The same spy apps that paranoid parents use to track their children's activities on their mobile phone can be used by criminals, such as stalkers and domestic abusers. It is troubling how easy it is to track somebody. If anybody gave me a mobile phone as a gift I'd perform a factory reset ASAP. Did you know that traffic data on Google Maps and others is collected using mobile phones? Mobile phone companies can find your position easily.

I advise everyone reading this comment to download Ghostery so that they can see just how much they are being tracked on some websites, if they haven't already. Ghostery lists all of the trackers on the webpage you're viewing and gives users the option to block individual trackers or all of them at once. I also advise people to erase Cookies when they close their web browser.

MrNoMorePropaganda

Development wise, there are many APIs and even native methodologies that allows you to get many data from the users.
In the web world, the HTML5 Geo-location function gets the location of the user with no more than a single line of code. That, without even using a GPS.

I will download the app and give it a try.
Lots of thanks for your comment and the info Big Grin
