Especially when, in calling them bullshit, reasonable explanations for why they're bullshit are presented. If your belief system can't handle a little surface level scrutiny, maybe instead of labeling others as terrorists in an effort to discredit and shame them into silence, you can perform some introspection and compare what they say against those beliefs and figure out which is more logical, hmmm?

And there's a huge difference between mocking an idea, one which is either false or irrelevant, and mocking people, so your example of homosexuals is a poor one. These people exist, and homosexuality is a natural state of being (despite whatever your holy book may say).

No it is not! Please tell me why I should be polite to humans who go out of their way to treat other human beings like shit. Gays have a right to bitch right now because they are widely treated like shit far too much, even though things are better. They still get treated like shit.

The public sphere in the west is not a captive situation like say a liberal Muslim like Malala in Pakistan.

You don't get to civility by always insisting politeness. Civility isn't fostered through censorship. Civility is what you do when you get offended. You still in the west do not have the right to be free from being offended.

Now, if you want to make an argument it is not always good to cuss or blaspheme I agree, context of situation matters. I am not, nor ever will be a fan as "never ever" as a solution.

All 7 billion humans can think of something they find offensive. I think it is stupid to allow other people force of law as a blanket solution for every situation to keep the peace. If you want to know what political correctness looks like, try North Korea or Saudi Arabia. I am sure it is fine for those who tow the social norm line in those states, but it sucks for anyone who does not want to live there.

IT DEPENDS on when and where that dictates your behavior, not "never". If we never blasphemed anything we would still be living in the dark ages.

Utter crap.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

and again, if I mocked the idea of homosexuality for example, it will be a total different case.

The types of oppression you spoke about (which I'm going through btw) are not social terrorism, they are a crime against humanity. Yet, the mocking isn't actually better.

Heck, go see what bullying & mocking does to people, some turn into twisted motherfuckers and go on killing rampages. It is a nasty habit, that doesn't differ a lot from being a crime against yourself before it becomes a crime against others..

Mocking is a type of bullying -__-. Do you remember that fat kid in school who committed suicide ?

You were confronted on a specific, easily refuted with minimal research, false claim you made.
You have admitted the claim was false.
The ease with which you could have researched the topic to show your claim was false yet apparently did not indicates one or more of several possibilities.
1) you are not a serious person.
2) you are not an intelligent person.
3) you did research your claim, knew it was false, yet for your amusement put it forward here thinking we were too stupid to refute it.
4) you were too lazy to research your claim.
5) you are unable to evaluate your claim because your mind has been so clouded by religious indoctrination.

Only the second possibility was not worthy of ridicule as it is not your fault.
Those who mocked you here were only playing the odds.
So how, exactly, does God know that She's NOT a brain in a vat? Huh

Ho dare you deny this simply because it's from a holy book?

Evidently you failed to grasp the Koranic concept of "a certain amount of years". The correct use of this uniquely Islamic concept is illustrated by the notion muslims knew of the spherical earth "a certain amount of years" before those who actually both discovered and quantified that fact.

Actually, it's more the Kerrangic concept of the Earth on a course to reach the supermassive black hole at any time that I'm having issues with.

Hey, maybe all recent astronomy is wrong, the universe is closed, and earth and everything else is headed towards the Big Crunch with THE supermassive black hole. Big Grin

Well, by that time there won’t have been an Earth for at least as long as the Universe has existed up to now. What does the Kerrang say about that, I wonder?

I'm tired of your obfuscation. Care to share with the crowd what the peace-book says to do with those that don't accept 'the truth'?

Am I to trust Mecca Mohammed or Medina Mohammed (ignoring for the moment why this matters to a non-Muslim)? How can I tell the difference? But wait, the Quran is patched together by surah length. Even by the eight century any idiot knows to tell a story chronologically. Apparently Allah is a slow learner.

It now makes sense. The recent spate of Islamic related terror activity was simply Allah's way of expressing his displeasure of not being recognized at the most recent Gathering of the Juggalos. Fucking diva!

That's all exactingly specified in "a certain amount of years", I am sure.
