Holy shit, I had forgotten shufflepuck. My neighbors had that game, and I remember just loving it. They had another one where you were a spaceship collecting crystals and shooting things, but I can't remember it's name...
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell
Congrats Gramps!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Speaking of which. Does anyone want to adopt me? I don't need much. Just wifi. Two years and I'm out of your hair.

I felt slightly older this week. My 10yo daughter has now decided that I'm not permitted to wash her hair (or see her naked more precisely). It's one of those landmarks that will never be reversed and makes me feel a little bit sad.
On the flip side, it was a pain in the arse job that took me twice as long as it did to shower and wash my own hair so on balance I'm better off out of it. I'll just put the extra time into playing Mariokart 2 player with her instead. RE: When Your Kids Make You Feel Old
