Am I the only person who thinks last week's episode was a lot more enjoyable? Wit and tact over strength and brawn for me
Oh, yeah, GOT was on last night! I hope I have time to watch tonight...
FYI, I'm outta town this week and next (and not watching the last episode until I get back) so don't spoiler tag things on my account - I won't be here to read it. Let the spoilers fly freely!! I hope Sansa kills Ramsay in tonight's episode...
Teenaged X-Files obsession + Bermuda Triangle episode + Self-led school research project = Atheist.
I've watched it twice now, and I'm thinking about starting it again. Holy hell; it might be the best GoT episode yet.

Am I the only one lost with the latest episode? I don't understand Cersei being where she is.
Or is it just a useless flashback of her time spent there to show how dumb she has been lately?

She raised up the High Sparrow to a position of moral authority in order to fuck with the Tyrells. She didn't think she'd also be under scrutiny when she did so; she was too arrogant, in true Cersei fashion, and was brought up on her own charges.

Oh, thank you. <3
It's kind of why I hate this new deviation from the novels. Makes me so confused. xD I read the books a while ago. Certainly, in the show Cercei already had to go through her naked shame walk?

No... and I haven't read the books past ASoS (I am a crazy avid reader, but ASoIaF really fucks with my ADD), but apparently they've been deviating a lot. Some people are stoked that they aren't dealing with spoilers as such, but others are angry and confused. I'm kind of glad I haven't been reading all the books at this point; I'm having an easier time keeping up, I think. I might try to go back and read them after the series is over.

I don't understand Cersei being where she is. One difference from what I remember of the books is I think Cersi was the first and only royal jailed by the sparrows. Her naked walk will be her atonement. I don't think we know how the sparrow situation will resolve itself as I don't recall it doing so in the books. I don't recall learning anything about any particular white walker, let alone some suped-up, kingly ones. Maybe an odd reference or two but no action scenes that I recall. I've read somewhere online that there are supposed to be ice dragons as well as the fire dragons we know and love. I sure would like to get a new book to read soon. |
