Didn't realize until today that the next one will be the last for the season. Too fast!
Anyone hear any rumors/hope that GM will ever publish the next book?

I hate seeing her without power Same, I wanna see her being all powerful villainess ice queen realness, throwing all the legendary shade at the lesser girls. This current story really sucks for Cersei fans ?

Reminded me I need to watch this past Sunday's episode. Thank you.

I'd also like to see Cersei get smacked a lot more with the wooden ladle. (Really enjoying that.)

Such an EPIC ending to this episode. So much has been changed to fit the needs of the viewer, but thank goodness they kept to that part.

I never understood Stannis fans, really. He's murdered his own brother in cold blood, he would have murdered a number of nephews as well if he could have gotten his hands on them. I don't understand the people who think episode 9 is a departure from his character. Seems right in line with his story arc to me.
I'm VERY anxious to see Davos's response when he returns. Now there is a noble man, more complex than he seems. I hope he ditches Stannis is goes of to join Danny after this.
I liked the scenes in Dorn. I really like the youngest sand snake (the one hitting on Bronn), I think she going to become an important character....just a feeling. And Doran showing some balls with his compassion, ty very much.
Poor Arya, unable to let go of her past. I don't think she'll make it as a faceless (wo)man. I wonder where her story will go now?
The final scene with Dany...just epic. One of the best episodes ever for me. I feel like the show is really advancing the story. I'm so excited to see episode 10! And then a whole year before more episodes!! ~cry~ I can't figure out how this season went by so quickly.

I think I might be dead inside, lots of people think that scene crossed a line but I didn't really feel anything, maybe it's because I don't have kids
I'm not sure what the point of summoning another vagina monster is for Stannis in this situation, when he summoned one to kill Renly that was to eliminate someone else who had a claim to the throne, this current stand-off between Stannis' army and the Bolton's is just about military strength, killing one person won't swing the tide in their favour will it?

Davos is done imo, I think his purpose to the story was to illustrate Stannis' descent into madness - well now we know Stannis has crossed the line into crazy town and can't come back. Although on second thought maybe Davos could go to the wall, that seems like the sort of noble cause he could get behind

Did Jaqen(?) recognise Arya was lying to him when she got back to the house of black and white? If so why is he letting her lie to him? Or maybe he just didn't have his whacking stick handy at that time

I think Dany has to die, as much as I love her. A faithful and satisfying conclusion to the series would involve Dany failing to "break the wheel" imo - and in the Game of Thrones you win, or you die

In regards to the people the think Stannis acted out of character... Showrunner Dan Weiss talked to EW about that exact point.
"When I asked Weiss the question that fans surely have tonight: “How could you do that to Shireen?” Weiss philosophically noted you could “flip that question” into a larger debate about how we’re all highly selective about which characters deserve our empathy. Stannis has been burning people alive for seemingly trivial reasons since season 2, yet we’ve still tended to regard him as a great leader—at least, by Westeros standards.
“It’s like a two-tiered system,” he noted. “If a superhero knocks over a building and there are 5,000 people in the building that we can presume are now dead, does it matter? Because they’re not people we know. But if one dog we like gets run over by a car, it’s the worst thing we’ve we’ve ever seen. I totally understand where that visceral reaction comes from. I have that same reaction. There’s also something shitty about that. So instead of saying, ‘How could you do this to somebody you know and care about?’ maybe when it’s happening to somebody we don’t know so well, maybe then it should hit us all a bit harder.”
