That's a fairly good answer, I suppose.  I was being somewhat facetious, but not entirely.

Without weighing in on OP, I do note that I am not a fan of infant circumcision (though on my list of things to care about this is way, wayyy down towards the bottom)

Do you not understand the rights of passage in most cultures involve circumcision? Right of passage meaning a boy taking the steps to being a man..
Therefore in those cultures no it is not ok for a child to make that decision.
