He gone. The ban hammer doth smote him and his two other socks.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

OP:

I have a nice hammer waiting for you when you come back.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

You're immature, and your life is meaningless according to your own beliefs. You believe you are nothing more than time, chance, and chemical reactions. You have no meaning and no hope, therefore, you seek out meaning by trying to feel as if you know something more than others, or that you have the canny ability to disprove an argument.

I pity you, simply because I've been where you are. I contemplated suicide when I was an atheist, because I simply couldn't escape the fact that deep down, I felt life was utterly cruel, meaningless, and empty.

Atheists often scoff, "My life has meaning. I love my friends, spouse, kids, etc." That's a delusion. You are all nothing but chemical reactions. You'll die and quickly fade away from the mind of the world. You know this is true. Does that sit well with you?

I believe in God. I'm not going to bore you with the details of my conversion, because your intent is clearly only to puff up yourself with pride (one of the worst sins), and to feel like a know-it-all. A wise man once said this: "A true Christian testimony is worth a library full of arguments."

I know that when I found the truth, it changed my life. I know that I have peace. I know that I have meaning and a creator. I don't have to waste my time trying to mock others, create goofy avatars, or show my immaturity and pride. I've got a life, and I like to help others in my spare time to find the truth that I've discovered myself.

Does atheism liberate you? From what? From meaning? From purpose? Or liberate you to sin? For what? Does sin not bring about death? Does sin not cause misery and pain?

Does atheism liberate you to think freely? Do you think Christians, before their conversion, didn't also think and ponder all religions and possibilities? If I find truth, what more is there to search? If I discover the answer to an equation, why keep working on it? It is solved.

The mystery of this life is solved for me, and my daily walk with God proves it. I seek nothing more. I have peace. I have a life. I have purpose.

First of all, not every Atheist is attempting to mock and scoff a religion, rather, religion is being shoved down our throats and we are constantly attacked for what we believe in and we are defending ourselves. Our right to our religious views, or lack thereof, is just as important as yours and is no different from you spending your time on Christianity forums in an attempt to exalt a god you lack plausible evidence for. But then again, what you believe in is what you believe in, and I can't change that and I have no right to "mock and scoff" at you even if you're asking for it. Being an atheist doesn't make your life meaningless; in fact, it opens your eyes to reality. If there is no afterlife, that is motivation and inspiration to make what time you have in this life meaningful and to live life to the fullest. My life does have meaning because I choose to believe that it does. Why? Because I don't need to resort to wishful thinking that I'll live in eternity. Instead, I praise and appreciate what is set before me and that's what makes my life meaningful, including the people within it and the things around me. I will die but I intend to make a name for myself so my name doesn't fade away from the mind of the world. I'm going to do great things in this life and I'm motivated to do so by simply believing there is no afterlife and this is my life. You contemplated suicide when you were an Atheist because you rely on wishful thinking, but everyone deals with things differently and there are a lot of people who contemplated suicide when they were religious. The point is that you shouldn't blame your weak mind on religion, or lack thereof, and you should probably turn that blame towards yourself.  Also, you're contradicting yourself. You wasted all this time in finding an atheist forum, creating a profile, and posting a thread to attack us; so if you supposedly don't need to waste your time to defend yourself and your views, what was the point of this post?

I've been telling you guys all along; the professor is a good guy, if not a little wacky. Wink
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

I noticed long ago that whether someone is basically kind or cruel, polite or rude, has very little to do with whether the person believes in a god or not.

I almost wish that were not the case, so that cruel people could be converted to kind people, or rude people to polite people, more easily than is actually the case.

A person who could deem another living person to be the antichrist is in my opinion essentially indistinguishable from a psychopath and would commit atrocities if he thinks he could get away with it.
