We are fucked because we decided to walk upright. That messed up the whole topology.

I have often wondered the same thing, about childbirth being so ridiculous for humans.

It wasn't dangerous enough to kill enough of us off. I imagine anytime it was dangerous enough to kill off the individual....they died. Having a big brain and narrower bipedal hips kept proving beneficial for reproduction. It couldn't care less about our comfort.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:

Damn.... I gotta show this to my bossy catholic wife!
There are quite a few Bible verses that denigrate women. Here is a link to a list, though I warn you to double check every reference, as the person who compiled the list tends to go overboard sometimes:

But make sure you look at things carefully, as you would not want to miss out on Matthew 19:29 (and Mark 10:29-30 and Luke 18:29-30), where Jesus states that it is good to abandon your wife and children to follow Jesus; 1 Corinthians 11:3 tells you that a man is head of the woman (you might want to make sure you read the whole chapter 11, to get the full feel of women's place); 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, where it states that women should be silent in church, and if they have any questions, they can ask their husbands later on; Ephesians 5:2-24, where it states that women should obey their husbands in all things, as if their husbands were Christ (!); Ephesians 5:33, where it states that wives should have reverence for their husbands; Colossians 3:18, where wives should submit to their husbands; 1 Timothy 2:11-12, where women should learn in silence from men, and not usurp authority over men; and etc. There are more verses that say that wives should obey their husbands; look carefully at the references at the link above, and make sure you compare in a Catholic-approved Bible for your case. You should have the idea by now; if your wife is a bossy Catholic, she is not following the teachings of the Bible, as, according to the Bible, she should obey you as if you were Christ himself.

I wonder if mortality rates have got lower though, bad as they are now. If a woman dies, she can't have any more kids... so I would have thought the longer a woman can have kids before dying, the more her genes would get passed on.
That's based on literally nothing, but it makes sense to my addled brain.
Obviously I'm talking long term here.

Original sin. Before the fall, our eyes were perfect.

Why do we possess a birth canal of such Byzantine design? "The human female pelvis is a classic example of evolutionary compromise," Rosenberg answers. Its design reflects a trade-off between the demand for a skeletal structure that allows for habitual walking on two feet and one that permits the passage of a baby with a big brain and wide shoulders. Its unique features didn't come about all at once, but at different times in our evolutionary history, in response to different selective pressures. "The result of these different pressures is a jerry-rigged, unsatisfactory structure," Rosenberg says. "It works, but only marginally. It's definitely not the type of system you would invent if you were designing it. But evolution is clearly a tinkerer, not an engineer; it has to work with yesterday's model."

@ Lek
This is why:
Quote:[evolution] has to work with yesterday's model
You have to look a bit closer at how evolution by natural selection works. It's not planning ahead and most of the time only finds a compromise with what is there, and what new small variation can be produced to adapt to circumstances.
